DIY Jack-O-Lantern for Halloween
Here's a step-by-step guide on how to make a Jack-o'-lantern
Supplies
Buy a plastic jack-o’-lantern about 20cm in diameter, cut a hole in the nose, and use hot glue to fix a Crowbits PIR sensor in it.
Use a knife to make holes in the eye area, and use hot glue to fix a Crowbits RGB Matrix behind the hole.
Install the master controller Crowbits_UNO, Crowbits_MP3, speaker, Crowbits-IR,Reflective Sensor. Then program and debug the whole process.
*Note: You need to put the downloaded sound material into the SD card in advance.
Install the Crowbits-IR Reflective Sensor on the inside top of the pumpkin lantern, place the master controller and speaker inside the pumpkin lantern, and cut a small hole in the lid to let the candy in. Turn on the power and the whole program starts to run. Once the PIR Sensor detects a human, it will activate the lantern program. Its eyes light up and will make a ghost howl simultaneously. When a candy is put in, it will be detected by the IR Reflective Sensor, and the lantern will turn off its eyes and stop howling.
Happy Halloween to everyone!
