Wash your hands! Then get all your ingredients measured and ready.
To begin Mix flour, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.

Beat eggs and add lemon juice together in a separate bowl.

*I did not have lemon juice at home so I decided to juice a lemon.

I used chicken breasts but alternatively you could use chicken thighs, start by making small chunks of chicken and put the chopped pieces into another bowl.

Method of Cooking

Heat 1 1/2 to 2 inches of vegetable or sunflower oil in a large pot over medium heat (190 degree celsius) , I decided to shallow fry sunflower oil because I did not want any oil to be wasted.

Mix the spices evenly before... Dip the chicken pieces into the flour mixture, then the egg mixture, and again into the flour mixture.

Test the oil to make sure it is hot enough: a small amount of flour dropped in should sizzle. Place 10-12 pieces of chicken into the hot oil; cook until golden brown approximately 10 minutes.

Remove from the oil and drain on a paper towel lined plate and season with salt and ground pepper. Repeat with remaining chicken.

Ahhh finally...there is nothing better than a good old BBQ sauce! It's a great way to satisfy our craving using everyday kitchen ingredients and DIY at home is a healthier option.

I would recommend using a pinch of salt and ground pepper to give the popcorn chicken a pop!
