If you have an old keyboard and want to transform it into something cool or just want a cool picture frame then try this instructable to make a nice picture frame out of old keyboard keys in under an hour, I did it in half an hour at the most!

Materials

You will need:
Old keyboard keys(leave the pointy tabs on the back on)
Hot glue gun
Cardboard
A picture
A screwdriver

Measure

Measure the length and width of your picture mine was 5 by 7, if your using a 5 by 7 the number of keys going vertically is 10 and the number of keys going horizantial is 9.

Cut your cardboard so it is exactly the same size as your picture.

Glue the Vertical Sides

Glue the keys together, (with the hot glue gun) one by one vertically with the writing on the keys facing up until you have two seperate pieces both with 10 keys. Feel free to arrange the keys anyway you like.

Glue the Horizontial Sides

Do the same thing only glue the sides together and sure the letters are facing horizantial.

Glue the Picture and Cardboard

Keyboard Frame! 012.JPG
Glue the picture to the cardboard, try not to use too much hot glue so it doesn't bulge out the sides or put big globs under the picture.

Glue Again

Keyboard Frame! 019.JPG
Take the picture and one of the vertical sides and flip the vertical side so the little pointy tabs on the back are facing up, then take the picture glued to the cardboard and put the vertical side of the picture up against the pointy tabs on the back of the key so the front overlaps the edge of the picture a little. Glue the back inside of the keys next to the little tabs then place the picture in the same position you just had it in and apply pressure, do not glue the picture itself, glue the tabs then put the picture on. Repeat the process with the other vertical side.

Glue the Horizantial Sides to the Vertical Sides

Keyboard Frame! 020.JPG
Glue the horizantial side keys to the vertical side keys already attached to the picture, instead of trying to press the horizantial sides of the picture to the tabs on the back of the horizantial side keys, just have them on the end and glue the two end keys to the ends of the vertical side keys.

Add the Foot for Standing Up the Picture

Now I hope you saved your space bar! Take the space bar and line up at an angle to the cardboard on the back of the picture and hot glue it in place.
