LED Cardboard Coaster

Have you ever put a cup of whatever drink on a table without a coaster it pretty much ruins the table.This instructable will teach you how to make a custom LED cardboard coaster, to save your table and find your drink in the dark.

Supplies

You will need:

- 1 piece of 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 inch cardboard square
- 1 piece of 3 1/2 x 3 inch cardboard square
- 8 pieces of 1x1 inch cardboard
- gorilla glue
- a push pin
- a 10 mm LED light
- a 3 volt battery
- a ruler
- sandpaper (optional)
- and a place to work

Building the Top of the Coaster.

For this step you will need your two big pieces of cardboard and the gorilla glue.

Get the smaller piece of cardboard and glue it to the bigger piece then let it dry for a couple of minuites

Putting the Stands On

For this step you will need your gorilla glue and the eight pieces of 1x1 inch pieces of cardboard.


Get two pieces at a time and glue them together,

repeat this step to all the 1 inch pieces of cardboard

Attaching the Stands to the Base of the Coaster.

Now that you've glued the stands together you have to put them on the base of the coaster.
Just glue them to the bottom.

Poking the Holes on the Coaster

Now you have to poke the holes for the coaster.


You poke whatever design you want. I just chose the gorilla glue logo and poked his eyes out.





Attaching the LED and Battery

Now that you have the holes poked you can put your LED and battery under it.

Just tape the two of them together and tape them under the coaster, but do it so the lhe light shines through the holes.

Your Done

Apply 2 or 3 coats of cearcoat or else it will get ruined when you put the cup on top of your coaster.

Now you have your finished product.
