Landscape From My Country

Hi everyone!

This is my first ever project, and I really want to share it with you guys! The idea came from a beautiful landscape, from my country.

Supplies

First, you will need:

-a piece of thick paper (thinner cardboard, you decide the size of it)

-colored crayons

-black paint (I recommend tempera)

-a paintbrush

-a sharp object (I recommend using a nail)

Preparing the Supplies

The first step is to cut out the cardboard, I used a 27 cm x 15 cm rectangle. I searched for my crayons a lot, and then ended up with a ton of rainbow colored ones. Later I picked up my good old paintbrush I used in elementary school, black tempera, and a nail from the garage, then I headed to work.

The Coloring

The first step is to paint different colors on the cardboard, the point is to make your piece of cardboard as colorful as possible. You can use any color you want, especially: red, orange, blue, green.

Covering the Colors

The third step is to cover your colorful cardboard with black paint. I recommend using a thin layer of paint. When you finished the painting, wait 10-15 minutes until the paint dries.

Scratching the Pattern

In this step, which is also the final step, you have to scratch the chosen pattern on the black surface. It is like drawing, but with a nail. Be careful, the paint could pop up, and then ruin everything.

And this is how to make a masterpiece out of your old crayons and a piece of cardboard!
