How to Make a Leather Backpack for a Knife
Losing something that means to you is an annoying thing. For that you have to make your own pack that meet your needs of any size, especially a backpack.
My packback is specialized only for one special object which is a wooden knife that I worked on in another instructable https://www.instructables.com/id/Wooden-Hand-Knife..., this leather backpack help to safe my knife when I go camping or to an discovery trip.
Materials and Tools
- Scissor
- Yarn
- Pin
- Leather
Cutting and Forming the Pack
Start by cutting the upper part of the pack
Then form the part of the hand.
This step depends on the size of the knife.
Sewing
This step is the hardest one because it is sewed by hand. After forming the parts of the pack start sewing the upper part then continue to the other parts.
Note: sew a double stitch the sides of the leather.
Sew the Upper Part
Start by sewing the upper by a double stitch where the knife's blade.
Sew the Handle's Part
Sew the upper part where the handle will set there.
Then stitch the cross part the catch the handle of the knife.
Sew the Stick Clip Cloth
Sew them on the terminals of the cross leather piece where it catch the handle.
The Final Sew
Sew all the parts together as it in the photo.
Add the Tongs
Add the tong on the rear part of the pack where you can put it on the back of the belt.
