Leather Catch-all
A quick, easy, and stylish way to collect all of your crap at the end of the day (cellphone, keys, wallet, change, etc.).
Gather Materials
As always, the first step is to gather up your materials:
- 1 Iron
- 1 swatch leather or suede
- 1 tiny green tee shirt (for padding the iron on the suede, and yes, you must use green)
- 1 Pencil
- 1 measuring tape or ruler
- 1 pair scissors
- 4 2-pronged brad-style leather beads
- All of your pocket crap

Cut and Form
I wanted my catch-all to be a square, but my suede piece was rectangular. A quick trim with the scissors fixed that problem.
Regardless of whether you choose a rectangle or a square, the next step is to measure, mark, and fold the sides in at 1 inch. Then use the iron (with tiny green t-shirt protector) to make a distinct crease on all 4 sides, as seen in the photo.

Pinch and Poke
Next, pinch the corners where they intersect and poke the bead tips through. If your leather is too thick (or if you are a weakling), you may want to use the scissors (or a leather punch) to help you.
Just bend the two brad-style tabs together to secure.
Repeat this step for all 4 corners.

Fill With Crap
Next, fill it up with your crap.
