Legacy: A K'nex Ball Machine

Finally, it's done!

Hello everybody!

This is my largest and 2nd ball machine to date, Legacy. Legacy features 3 networks (1 lift per network) and 7 paths. The lifts are the Semi-Circle Lift, the Alternating Arm Lift, and the Jump Lift. Legacy also features 2 new elements; the Cross-V Funnel (15th picture) and the Diagonal Clickers (16th picture). Legacy stands 4.3 feet tall, 4.75 feet wide, and 4.16 feet deep. That's 1.3 meters tall, 1.4 meters wide, and 1.2 meters deep for all you metric users.

Filming and editing took about 1 and 1/2 days.

Construction time was June 25th 2014- August 10th 2014, and January 16th 2015- February 8th 2015. (The reason there's a gap is because I took a huge break due to school.)

I'm very proud of this and I hope that you all enjoy this as much as I do.

Special thanks to:

  • Shadowman39
  • Tornado96
  • Sandroknexmaster
  • Knextreme
  • knexpert#10829476

...And any other ball machine builder that saw some of their work here.

Fun Facts!

  • During my break, my family had a Halloween party. Since my friends were going to be in the basement, I had to move the whole machine, hence the change in location since the update.
  • The spinner on the white floor actually helps the balls from the jump lift go toward one of the other lifts.
  • The Cross-V funnel was invented by accident. It was originally supposed to be a new type of ball arm.

Thanks for watching and viewing!
