Lesson 2: Hand Drawn Peacock
Hello there, hope you're well.
In today's lesson I we'll be aiming to teach you how to draw a peacock with your hand.
This lesson is very easy and you only need 3 tools to make similar to the hand drawn dog, but more detail will be required.
The finished Peacock will be slightly more detailed than you dog drawing.
Supplies
- Paper
- Pencil
- Colour pencils, fibre pen or markers.
Step 1: Draw the Body
Place the palm of your none writing hand onto the paper, spacing your fingers a part, then draw around your open hand with finders spread apart.
Move your hand away and connect were your wrist was to complete the full hand.
You can then drawn the birds' claws at this point.
Step 2: Draw the Main Feather
Draw a side on tear drop to act as the big feathers, drawing small curve lines for detail.
Don't worry if it looks uneven as some birds feathers are like that.
Step 3: Add Detail to the Head
On the thumb part of your hand draw the beak, eye's and strands of hair for detail.
Step 4: Draw the Feather Eyes Detail
On the fingers draw tear drops, with a smaller one inside 1 or 2 times. This depends on how big you want them to be.
If they're not even in size you can colour over them.
Step 5: Colour Your Peacock
Colour anyway you like.
Pencil colours, fibre pens, markers or even paint. It is up to you how your Peacock looks.
When you're done you have created a pretty peacock that you can show to friends or family.
