Light Outlet Customization
This project is very simple and gives a little spark to any room in the house. (Credits to the artists of the pictures I use)
p.s. You can also use a outlet covering
Supplies
You will need
-Light switch cover (This is obvious but you have to remove it from the wall)
-Mod podge
-Printed image (You can draw it too)
-Paintbrush (Optional you could also use your finger but it makes a small mess)
- Glue (Elmer's glue works really well)
-scissors
-Screwdriver (To remove it and put it back)
Remove It From the Wall
You take the screwdriver and unscrew it. It might be stuck so you will need to slide something thin in the crack and give a light pull. It should pop off!
Cut Out Photo and Glue It Down
The image does not have to be the exact size of the cover but it can not be smaller. You then add glue on the cover and add the image.
Cut Off the Extra
You then cut around it (the extra) making sure it does not rip. You don't have to cut it down all the way you can always fold and glue the sides down on the inside of the cover.
Cutting Out the Holes
You then take your knife and cut out the holes where either the light switch or the plug itself will go. (Please be careful during this part or have an adult do it for you)
Seal the Edges
Take your finger or paintbrush and put some of the glue on it. You then need to trace the outline and push the edges down including the light switch hole or plug hole.
Cover It
You will need to give it 2 layers of modpoge withe the paintbrush make sure it is all evenly coated.
Put It Back
Now all you need to do is screw it onto the wall again and you are done. Hope it works out for you!
Tips
You may need to print it more than once until it is a good size
let it fully dry between layers
let it dry when glued on or it will rip
