Light Up Dress

It is a high low dress with six layers of tulle and lights sewn into the skirt. The Bodice has princess darts and the necklace is 3D printed.

Supplies

6 Yards of Satin Fabric

4 Yards of Tulle

Basic sewing supplies

LED Lights

Sew the Bodice

First you sew the center front and front sides together to create a princess dart. Repeat with center back leaving it open to add the zipper. Sew the front and back bodice by sewing at the shoulders then the side seam.Now add the zipper

Sew the Skirt

Now sew the layers of tulle together by the center front to the center sides. Sew the side back to the side front and sew the back close. Do the same with the satin.

Sew It All Together

Layer the tulle on top of the satin making sure the seams line up sew a stay stitch.Then sew another seam to gather. Pin the skirt and bodice together by sewing them right sides together.

Sew the Lights In

Once the dress is made use painter's tape to hold the lights in while the lights are being sewn in.
