To make these toddler-approved bangles, you will need...

  • a cardboard tube
  • tacky glue
  • hot glue gun
  • metal ruler
  • scissors
  • pencils
  • embellishments: bottle capes / rhinestones / appliques / ribbons / duct tape

Cut Tube

First, measure the cardboard tube at least 1.5" apart, then cut out the pieces.

Paper Bangle

To make the paper bangle, I used a piece of leftover scrapbook paper to wrap around the tube with tacky glue.

Duct Tape Bangle

Making this duct tape bangle is as simple as cutting out a piece of colorful duct tape and wrapping it around the tube in place.

Fabric Bangle

For the fabric bangle, I cut out a piece of fabric and use dabs of hot glue to wrap around the tube and attach in place.

Ribbon Bangle

Finally, I made this ribbon bangle, by cutting out a few pieces of ribbon (about 4 pieces) and wrapping them around the tube, one at a time, with hot glue.

Decorate Away!

Decorating these bangles will be as simple as you might think. Take these fun ideas

Paper Bangle: I added two buttons on top of each other, one dark and one light to make up this vintage gingham inspired piece.

Duct Tape Bangle: In the middle of the beige colored button are two red rhinestones.

Ribbon Bangle: To create that princess quality to this ribbon bangle, a bottle cap and pink rhinestone on top gives off that cute, glitzy vibe.

Fabric Bangle: Since fabric is most common in this piece, I added a fabric applique of an adorable cat to the center.

Toddler Approved!
