Luminair
I have designed a Bio Luminair , using sustainable materials, that bio-degrades over a period of time.
Supplies
- Cotton String.
- Mixing Bowl.
- Paintbrush.
- Spoon.
- Bicarbonate Soda.
- Jelly.
- Fibre/Cloth.
- Soil Grains.
- Pan/Baking Tray.
- Frying Pan
- A pair of Gloves.
- Glycerine
- Cocunut Essence
- Vinegar
- Cornstarch
- Wood Chips
Bio Glue
Mix 1 Tea Spoon : Vinegar.
Mix 1 Tea Spoon : Glycerine.
Mix 1 drop : Blue & Green Food coloring.
Mix 1 drop : Coconut Essence.
Mix 2 & a half spoon : Cornstarch.
Jelly
Boil hot water & pour into pot.
Stir Jelly powder until soft and grains have dissolved.
add bicarbonate soda.
Pour into dish/bowl. Until you are ready to use.
The mixture will develop plod at the bottom of bowl, if left to dry.
Fibre Development
- Cut 300mm x 300mm of fibre.
- Apply jelly mixture.
- Apply wood chips.
- Apply Bio Glue.
- Apply Sand.
Sewing
- Use a Cotton String. 250mm
- Fold luminair into desired shape.
- Stitch Luminair together, and knot the string on both ends once complete.
