Lunar Legacy Board Game

A unique board game based on taking control of a solar system. Featuring a levitating centerpiece/display, the board itself is very aesthetically pleasing and transports players into the Lunar Legacy world. The game objective is that players aim to achieve dominance over the solar system by strategically taking control of planets, managing alliances, and overcoming challenges posed by rebellious planets.

Supplies

  • 12" x 12" board of wood
  • 3D printer and filament (6 colors)
  • Laser wood engraver
  • Magnetic levitation toy
  • Acrylic paints
  • Laminator and laminating sheets
  • Printer and paper
  • Black marker

Wood Board

  1. Place the 12" x 12" into a laser wood engraver
  2. Engrave the attached design into the piece.
  3. Paint the game board as shown
  4. Use black paint or a black marker to outline the engraved design.
  5. Cut a 0.5" x 0.5" hole in the center for the levetator cord

  1. Take apart any unnecessary features of the toy

Centerpiece

  1. 3D print the attached file in preferably black filament (This will be used as the levitating centerpiece where the planet cards will be placed)
  2. Paint the centerpiece as shown (to look like a galaxy).
  3. Glue levitating magnent on the underside

  1. Print the cards double sided using the attached link
  2. Use a laminating machine to laminate the cards
  3. Cut out each card individually
  4. Shape out the cards
