MEDIEVAL SHACKLES/CHANDELIER
How to make Medieval style shackles
for tools you will need:
For materiel you will need

welder(or other means of fushion)
grinder
cut disc's
flapper disc's
pliers
wire brush
clamp
a vice is always handy too
For materiel you will need
section of 4" tubing
two 1" hinges
two latches
chain
Cutting and Grinding
Take the pipe and cut a 1" ring out
using the grinder and flapper disc shine it up

Cut
Cut a single line into the ring, keep it in the vice as is.

Bend It
using the other piece of the pipe, a hammer and a clamp bend the hinge to the shape of the pipe
Welding Time
Tac Weld in the holes.
Shine It Up
Using the flapper disc grind your tac welds away smooth.
Add a Latch
Time to tac weld the latch onto the shackle the same way we did the hinge.

Make Something
I used three shackles to replace the little poles that keep my light shade on. To do this I had to weld little hooks on the opposite side of the shackle then the chain. Then connecting through shade. Turn on the lights and you have medieval shackle chandelier .
