MERCEDES Paper Car.

This project was started as a sketch as I drew my designs in school classes, the design soon became an obsession, and I wanted it to convert into a reality. All materials used inside the car are either salvaged from waste cardboard pieces in my attic or from whatever things there were lying around in my house which was useless.

Collecting the Right Cardboard

If you want to make something from design to a mockup(with cardboard) it's all about selecting the correct thickness of the cardboard. I used NON-CORRUGATED cardboards(from visiting cards or similar)

Cutting the Correct Pieces

After choosing the cardboard next is to cut the shapes from the design you have drawn. I did this completely without taking accurate measurements and it's ok(should be somewhat similar)

Shaping Carboard

Manually start to shape the cardboard. Since the thickness and strength are less for the cardboard, it can be shaped to your desired style, but have to do in a similar fashion so it takes the shape(like shaping a pot on mould)

Selecting Glue

glue selection is also important since some glue after drying can leave sediments of it. use glue which is used sticking wood (fevicol MR). It will take time to stick, but worth the wait.

Paint

either go for poster colour or spray paint. I used fabric colour and kind of destroyed the model, I was too late to find that out :(. I call it trial and error.
