I've loved Mac And Cheese since I was little. My Mom and Dad love bread so what did we do? We put them together. In this project we will make a delicious, creamy, cheesy mac and cheese baked inside homemade bread bowls.

Supplies

Bread Bowls -

1 Tablespoon active dry yeast

2 Tablespoons sugar

1 1/2 warm water

4 Cups all purpose flour

1 1/2 Teaspoon salt

2 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil

Egg Wash -

1 Egg

1 Tablespoon water

Mac and Cheese -

4 1/2 cups heavy cream

6 cloves garlic minced

1 stick unsalted butter

2 Tablespoons flour

1 pound pasta

8 ounces extra sharp cheddar (grated)

8 ounces pepper jack (grated)

1 Teaspoon garlic powder

1 Teaspoon onion powder

Salt and Pepper to taste

1 Tablespoon paprika

Put your 1 Tablespoon active dry yeast, 2 Tablespoons sugar, and 1 1/2 warm water in a bowl. Mix the ingredients together. Cover with towel and let set for 10 minutes.

After dough has rest, add your 4 Cups all purpose flour, 1 1/2 Teaspoon salt, and 2 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil to the bowl. Knead your dough mixture for 10 minutes with an automatic mixer.

Finally place your now kneaded dough in a oiled bowl. Cover bowl with a towel and let it sit for 1 hour.

Form the Bowls

Now that your dough has been made and risen, place it on a slight floured surface. Cut your dough in 3-6 sections depending on how big you want your bowls to be.

Take your smaller sections of dough and form them into a bowl-like shape.

Move your newly formed dough bowls onto a baking sheet. Score your dough balls. Cover with a towel and let them rest for 30 more minuets.

Finish the Bowls

Preheat the oven to 350° F

Combine 1 egg and 1 Tablespoon water in a small bowl to make your egg wash.

Brush the egg wash onto your dough balls.

Place in oven for 17-20 minuets, or till golden brown.

After 17-20 minuets remove from oven and allow them to cool for around 5 minuets.

Use a knife or spoon to create the bowls by hollowing them out.

Put a pot of water on stove and let it boil. Once it boils add your 1 pound of pasta and a pinch of salt. Cook for around 7-10 minuets or until pasta is a desired texture.

Add 4 1/2 cups heavy cream to a large sauce pan. Let cream come to a simmer. DO NOT BOIL.

In a sauce pan add the 6 cloves minced garlic and 1 stick unsalted butter. Sauté the garlic for roughly 4 minuets. Add you 2 tablespoons of flour and cook for 5 minuets.

Combine the garlic into the heavy cream. Also add 8 ounces extra sharp cheddar, 8 ounces pepper jack, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon onion powder, Salt and Pepper to taste, 1 tablespoon paprika and your pasta.

Grab your bread bowl and pour Mac and Cheese into the bowl leaving a small space at the top. Grate your Mozzarella and add to the top of the bowl. Cop your green onion and add on top of the Mozzarella.

Broil on high until cheese starts to become golden brown. Be careful it will happen fast.

You are done! You can now dig in and enjoy!
