Make the Cakes
You will bake two square cakes. I used a 9" x 9" pan.
Let them cool and stack, using icing between the cakes.
Ice the whole thing white (except the top if you plan to flip it onto it's serving platform).

Flip and Trick
Mix a batch of icing the color brown.
Ice the brown color half way up the sides.
Then, put the serving platform on the uniced side and flip the whole thing carefully.
Finish coating the top.
Reference a printout of the cake.
Cut red squares out of red fruit by the foot and add to the top of the cake.
Then, for the grey pixels on the sides, spray a white sugar sheet with a gray or silver edible color spray. Let that dry.
Then carefully cut out little rectangles. You will have to scale the rectangles to the size of your cake and use the picture as a guide.
Then you may also add a strip of gray all round the top of the sides of your cake.

Eat It
Touch up the sides of your serving platter by wiping them clean, and enjoy.
If you are good at using fondant, by all means, give it a shot. That would look way cool.
