You can make Windows 7 look like Windows XP by using a software called Classic Shell. Which puts the Windows XP start menu into Windows 7.  First change your theme setting from Windows 7 Basic to Windows Classic.Then you just add the  default Windows XP wallpaper,Bliss as your desktop background. You can also make Windows 7 look like Windows Vista, by adding the Windows Vista wallpaper and installing the Vista sidebar.
