Make Yoghurt With Your 3D Printer
My yoghurt machine died. I used it every week to make yoghurt for breakfast. Since the yoghurt machine was beyond repair, I thought that the best solution would be to make a yoghurt machine. It is a very simple machine. it is just a device that heats up to 43 Celsius... and then it hit me. A 3D printer IS A YOGHURT MACHINE (potentially)
Supplies
All you need is a botthe of milk, yoghurt ferment and a 3D printed cover (PETG)
Print the Cover
Measure how many yoghurt pots fit on top of the heating bed of your 3D printer. Design and 3D print a cover for your pots. In my case, I have a delta printer, so my base is round.
Make Yoghurt
Mix the yoghurt ferment with the milk (in my case, 1 ferment bag with 1 milk liter at room temperature. Heat the 3D printer bed at 43 Celsius. Pour the milk in the pots. Put the pots on the bed and add the 3D printed cover on top. Leave the 3D printer on for 8 hours and voilá, you got yoghurt.
Youcan now add the covers to the pots and keep it in the fridge for a week.
