What are water crystals?
For those of you who don't know, water crystals are used in potted plants and gardens as a way of keeping moisture in the soil. They have the ability to absorb many times their weight in water and release it to the plants as they need it. When all the water is released they return to their crystal form. They will continue to expand when watered and crystallize when dry. The technical name for these crystals is polyacrylamites, also known as superabsorbers.
