Thanks for checking out this instructable on how to make some pretty decent Malficent antlers for Halloween. There will soon be a following Instructable on how to attach it to someone's head - as soon as I find the right material (fake black leather strips probably)and a willing head.
Creating a Structure

Use chicken fence in order to create a base for the antlers. You dont have to be to precise at this stage!
Add a Surface to Your Structure

Mix one part water and one part water based wood glue/hobby glue. Soak strips of newspaper in the mixture. Apply to your net. Let dry overnight.
Improve Your Surface Using Tape!

I used a textile tape to get first smooth layer.
Add Volume (if Needed)

Since my antlers came out too thin, I added a layer of "insulation tape" ( probably called something else in english). It is the stuff you use for stopping the wind blow though the cracks in windows and doors....
Get That Leather Finish!

I simply used black insulation tape. Apply it tightly around your antlers.
Finishing Touches

Apply black tape to the head.
