Mason Jar Lid Wreath

You have limited space to decorate for the holidays and would like to create a small wreath using a Mason jar lid and ribbon. Your goal is to create a wreath using ribbon and a Mason jar lid, using the instructions to follow!

Step 1: Gather Supplies & Organize Your Work Space

Mason Jar Lid Ring 2.75 inch diameter

2 spools of 5/8in diameter ribbon

at least two different colors

Scissors

Ruler

A partner (or adult supervision)

Measure

Use a ruler to measure 5 ½ inches of ribbon

Step 3: Cut

Use scissors to cut the 5 ½ inches of ribbon, and repeat 9 times for the first spool of ribbon

Step 4: Measure

Use a ruler measure 5 ½ inches of the second spool of ribbon

Step 5: Cut

Using scissors cut the 5 ½ inches of the second spool and repeat 9 times for this color.

Step 6: Arrange Ribbon

Step 7: Gather Mason Jar Ring

Have a partner hold the mason jar ring

Step 8: Tie

Grab your first piece of ribbon and tie in a double-knot

Step 9: Continue to Tie

Tie the ribbon in double knots around the circumference of the ring

Use a ruler to measure 9 inches of ribbon in a color of your choice

Wrap the 9 inch piece of ribbon around the top of the lid ring

Step 13: Create the Loop

Create a loop with the 9 inch piece of ribbon

Step 14: Tie the Loop

Double knot the 9 inch piece ribbon at the bottom of the lid ring, leaving a large loop at the top

Step 15: Decorate

Hang on a hook, Christmas tree, door knob, or nail to decorate.
