McDonald's "HASH BROWNS"

In this lock down period we really miss out fast foods from the McDonald's and various other restaurant foods.

Hash brown is one of the famous dish in the McDonald's menu.

Here we are going to see the copy cat recipe of hash browns which resembles the same taste from McDonald's.

Try this and enjoy the restaurant style hash browns in your home.

Let's get into the recipe.

SUPPLIES

Potato - 3 (medium sized)

Corn flour - 1 tablespoon

Rice flour - 3 tablespoon

Onion powder - 1 tablespoon

Salt

Pepper

Oil for frying

Grating the Potato

Grate the potato and keep it a cold water bowl for 1-2 hours to remove the excess starch from the potato.

Drain out the water out from the grated potato completely.

Cooking the Potato

In a pan add some water and boil it in a high flame.

In the boiled water add 1 tablespoon of oil, Salt and the potato. Parboil the potato. Cook it only for 3-4 minutes.

After cooking strain the water using cloth. Wash it using a cold water to avoid excess cooking.

Drain the water completely from the potato. Make sure there should not be any water in the potato.

Preparing

Add the onion powder, salt, pepper, rice flour, and corn flour to the potato.

Mix all the ingredients well.

Shape the potato into a rectangle shape and keep it in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours.

Frying

In a pan add some oil and heat it. Fry the potato in the oil at a medium high flame.

Fry it until golden brown in color.

Serve it with some tomato ketchup.
