• 1 Two-liter bottle of carbonated soda (preferably diet coke)

• A rubber cork/stopper (we used 15/16th inch by 3/4th inch). Available at any hardware store.
• 5 Mentos
Prep the Mentos
Tape the 5 mentos stacked together with a vertical piece of tape so that they fit in the bottle
Prep the Cork
Tape the strung mentos to the bottom of the cork.
Prep the Skateboard
Tape the bottle to the skateboard so that the neck of the bottle sticks out the back.
Insert the Mentos
With the coke facing up, unscrew the cap. Slowly insert the cork with mentos attached so that the mentos don’t touch the coke immediately.
Prep for Launch
Flip the skateboard facing the direction you want to launch while HOLDING THE CORK TIGHTLY ONTO THE BOTTLE. Shake if possible.
Watch It Launch
Release your grip on the cork and watch it launch!
