Mini Bowling Arena

I made this arena for my design class in school. I wanted to make a toy that I would like to play! While I was browsing the internet I came upon some mini sports so I thought about some games or sports that would be great in a mini version and I thought bowling could be great.

Tools:

• File/Sander
• Fret Saw
• Clamp
• Hammer
• Router
• Saw

Materials:

• Scrap Wood
• Thin Cardboard
• Small Nails
• Wood Glue
• Pliers
• Square Wooden Dowels of 2 Sizes
• Spray Paint

Take your scrap wood and roughly sketch out the shape of your base mine was roughly 42 cm to 15 cm. Put it on to the fret saws base and remember to hold down the wood firmly while cutting the wood.

Take some strong thin cardboard and measure around the base to see how long you want it to be mine was roughly 60 cm to 8 cm. I curved the top slightly to make it more presentable and cool. It curves up to be 16 cm.

Take your router and adjust how deep you want it to go. My gutter was 22 cm to 2 cm. Make indents that go close to the side of the base. Make sure not to go through the wood like I did and ALWAYS check how deep it goes.

Take some nails, it depends on how big your base is I used very small and thin nails. Slowly work your way around the outside side of the base and make sure to keep the nails straight so they don't crack or go through your base. On my particular wood, big nails made it crack and it went in the gutter so I had to snip the small nails short.

Roughly sketch out the pedestals shape mine was 6 cm to 5 cm one side of it is curved. Take the router and make a groove to rest the ball in remember to not make it too deep or wide.

Take strong wood glue and attach the pedestal to the base this was enough to hold mine but if you want to, take some nails clip them short and push them in with a hammer.

Take two wooden dowels both different sizes cut the bigger one flatter and make the smaller one longer. Then attach them together.
