Mini-Golf Range & Putter

For our project, we decided to make a mini-golf range, and a putter to go along with it. For this project you will need a hot glue gun, approximately 10 glue sticks, a knife or cutting utensil, and around ten average-sized cardboard boxes.

Step One

First, you will want to take your cardboard boxes and unassemble them so the box lays flat on a surface, then you will want to take your cutting utensil and cut off the flaps that you would use to shut the box.

Step Two

In this step you will want to cut all of these boxes in half, it doesn't matter which side you cut, due to the fact that the boxes we used were square so it wouldn't matter. You then want to take all of your boxes and line them up as straight as you possibly can, you will then want to take your hot glue gun and glue all of your boxes end to end to make one long landing strip. We also had to do some trimming on the edges to try and make the cleanest-looking product we could get.

Step Three Final Step

In this final step of making the mini-golf range, you will want to take all of those flaps you cut off in step one and try and make those little rectangles as straight and identical to each other as possible. You will want to run a bead of hot glue along the bottom of the flaps and press them against the long line of boxes you have assembled earlier. As you can see in the picture the tops of the flaps will not line up, therefore you will have to take your hot glue gun and glue the tops together making a nice line of sides so your ball won't bounce off the range.

Step One of Making the Putter

For this part of the project you will only need your cutting utensil, your hot glue gun, and cardboard, your first step will be to cut about 8-inch strips, you will need about five of these. The reason we didn't just do one long piece for the shaft of the putter is that we figured it wouldn't be sturdy enough to actually use. for the hitting piece on your putter all you will need is to cut out of a piece of cardboard around 5 inches long and 3 inches tall. The final part of this step is to use your hot glue gun and glue your shaft to the hitting part of the putter and hold them together for about a minute to make sure the glue settles. That is how you make a mini-golf range and a putter!
