What's Needed
You will need the following:
Scroll Saw or a Coping saw
1 1/2" Spade Drill bit or 1 1/2" Hole Saw
1/16" Drill bit
Drill
Sander
11" x 7 1/4" x 3/4" piece of wood, I used a piece of Cedar from Lowes
Printer to printer the pattern
Spray Adhesive
4 Small nails
Stain or Paint, I used Varathane Barn Red
Paint brush
4 small 1" ornaments
Gloss Spray Lacquer
Step 1
Print the pattern out and glue it to the wood using Spray adhesive.
Spray the adhesive onto the back of the pattern and a little on the wood. Then apply the pattern to the wood, press down firmly.
Let the glue dry for about a hour before continuing.
Step 2
Using a backer board underneath the pattern, either drill out the holes with a 1 1/2" Spade bit or Holesaw.
Be sure and use a backer board to prevent tear out, plus take your time drilling. If you have a drill press use it.
Step 3
Now you can Scroll saw the tree pattern out. If you don't have a Scroll Saw, you can use a coping saw.
Note take your time when cutting out
Step 4
Using the 1/16" drill bit, drill the small holes above each of the bigger holes.
Note you don't have to drill all the way thru, only about a 1/2" deep
Step 5
Now sand the parts, be sure and sand the base until it fits snug into the bottom of the tree
Step 6
After sanding the parts, wipe off with a tack cloth. Then either apply Stain or Paint.
Follow the directions on the can
Step 7
After letting the stain dry overnight, I sprayed a few coats of Clear Gloss Lacquer. Allowing it to dry between coats.
Step 8
Install the small nails into each hole above the bigger holes. I used some small nails I had laying around. They was about a 1/2" long. Then hang the small ornaments onto the nails

Well this is what it should look like after you are finish. I hope you all liked this Instructable.
