Miniature Drink Shop

Design Goal

We want to create a cute and fun decoration that showcases Taiwan's culture. Inspired by the booming bubble tea industry in Taiwan, we decided to design a miniature drink shop. By sharing our project on Instructables, we hope to introduce Taiwan's drink culture to people around the world and inspire them to learn more about and fall in love with Taiwan!

Introduction

This project is inspired by Taiwan's beloved bubble tea culture. Bubble tea is not only a daily part of life in Taiwan but also a symbol of creativity and innovation.

Our design captures the unique atmosphere of a drink shop with fun and detailed features like the counter, cashier area, and workspace. Through this piece, we want people to experience the diversity and charm of Taiwan’s drink culture.

We hope our creation will be more than just a decoration. It’s a cultural symbol that can spark interest in Taiwan’s creativity, passion, and traditions, helping people appreciate and love this beautiful island!

Materials Needed

5. Blu Tack
6. Sandpaper
7. Super glue

We started with sketches inspired by various Taiwanese drink shops. We gathered references to create a unique design that highlights key features of these shops.

We used Onshape to create 3D models of our design. Basic shapes like circles and rounded rectangles were used for the shop sign. If this step is challenging, you can download our model file and proceed to the next step.

Import the 3D model into Ultimaker Cura. Adjust the size to fit your preference and connect the 3D printer to start printing.

Export the adjusted file to a memory card or connect your computer directly to the 3D printer. Begin the printing process.

After printing, use sandpaper to smooth the surface and edges for a more refined finish.

Use Blu Tack to temporarily fix parts together and adjust the placement. Once satisfied with the arrangement, use super glue to secure the pieces permanently.

Let the glue dry completely, and your miniature drink shop is ready! Enjoy your handmade piece of Taiwanese culture!
