Mmmm--mmmm Biscuits

Here's an easy, virtually foolproof biscuit recipe to WOW your friends and family.

Once you get over your fear and hesitation, it will take about ten minutes of work and 20-25 minutes of baking.

Your ingredients are:
2-1/4 C Self-Rising Flour
3/4 C Crisco
1 C Milk

Using a pastry cutter or food processor, mix flour and Crisco to coarse meal. Dump into bowl and stir in milk.

Dump onto flour covered board and pat into a 8x10 or so rectangle, adding a little flour as needed, until dough is no longer sticky. This is a very soft dough. Well-floured hands are important, unless you really like dough gloves. Fold dough in half, several times, patting it back to 8x10 or so between each folding. Pat into a nice, clean 8x10,

Cut into a dozen 2-1/2" squares.

Preheat oven to 425. Place biscuits on a cookie sheet, a couple of inches apart. Bake for 20-25 minutes. Enjoy.
