First take your white fabric and draw a front and back view of the human skeletal system. I used pictures online as an example. Try to make the front side and back side about the same size and shape. Cut your pieces out in a rectangle shape and put them together right sides facing each other. Try to match up the body parts together the best you can. Pin the pieces together and sew around the skeleton. Leave a space open at the bottom for turning and filling. Trim around the shape of your skeleton and turn right side out. Now fill with your stuffing and stitch up the open hole at the bottom.

Step Two

Write or type out a list of bones. Here is the list I made:

Cranium

Mandible

Clavicle

Scapula

Humerus

Radius

 Ulna

Carpals

Metacarpals

Phalanges

Sternum

Ribs

Coccyx

Pelvis

Sacrum

Femur

Tibia

Fibula

Tarsals

Patella

Metatarsals

Make your paper pieces twice as long as you want them to be. Fold all the paper pieces over and then put a pin in the middle and glue them shut.

Step Three

Roll two pieces of paper very tight and tape them to keep it from unrolling. Tape the two pieces together so you have one long piece. Use thread to add a loop to the top of the skeletons head. Make the loop how long you want the skeleton to hang. Cut your paper roll slightly larger than your skeleton. Take the piece you cut off and tape it to your roll making an L shape. Make any adjustments to your rolls to get a good fit for your skeleton. Tape the paper to the bottom piece of a blank disk container. Then write the human skeleton on a piece of tape and put it on as a label.

Step Four

Hang your skeleton and insert your pin labels.
