If you love molten lava cake and miss the oven for baking, you are
underestimating your good old pressure cooker sitting in your kitchen. Yes, my friends, you can make molten lava cake in cooker and that too in just 15 minutes.

Ingredients

Dairy milk silk-1

Powder Sugar (You
can even use normal Sugar. Powdered one is better)

2 Tbsp All-purpose-Flour (Maida)

2 Oz (55 Gms) Butter (Salted or Unsalted)

1 Egg

Preparing Lava Cake Paste

Lets start mixing the ingredients one by one.
Add butter in a bowl along with crushed chocolate. Melt it on full power for 30 seconds in a Microwave. If you do not have Microwave, then you can use the double boiler style of melting chocolate and butter.

Double boiler technique: To make a double boiler, take a tea pan and fill it 50% with water. Heat water on high flame for 2 minutes.

Once water is hot, add another pan on top of this tea pan. Add Chocolate in this top Pan and let it melt with the steam of water. Once it melts, we are ready to move ahead.

After 30 seconds, Butter and Chocolate are ready.

Add Egg in butter and chocolate mixture and mix well with the help of hand mixer.

Add maida for lava cake

Now add Sugar and All-Purpose-Flour and mix well again with hand mixer.

Mix well and make sure that there are no lumps left in the mixture.

Lava cake paste is ready

Mixture is ready. It would take about total of 8 minutes to each this point.

Preparing for Baking

Grease the mould or a microwave/oven safe bowl on all sides and corners. This will help in making a non-sticky layer for cake.

You can use any Aluminium or Microwave or Oven safe utensil. Try to avoid glass based moulds.

Now, add the cake mixture in the mould. Fill only 50% of the mould with cake mixture to avoid overflowing while baking.
Take a cooker and carefully place a Sieve or an Idli stand first inside the cooker. You can also use an Idli stand or a plate that normally is shipped with a cooker (the one with holes).

Baking Lava in Cooker

Keep the Sieve or idli stand (depends on what you are using) on the base
of cooker and switch on the stove on high flame. We are using a sieve.

Now, keep the cake mould on top of Sieve and close the cooker lid.
Make sure that you have removed the cooker whistle.

After baking it for 7 minutes on high flame, switch off the stove and keep it aside for 5 minutes.

Do NOT open the cooker lid yet.

After 5 minutes, lets open the cooker.

At this time, the molten lava cake is ready.

Take it out from the cooker and let it cool down for 2 minutes. It might be too hot for touching with bare hands.

To take out the cake from mould, place a plate on top of mould and simply turn it upside down.

Remove the mould and the delicious molten lava cake is ready to eat. This picture (see above) shows the Molten lava cake after we used a spoon to break it open.
