Morse Telegraph (Incomplete)
I had an old defunct flashlight. I did not want to have to send messages on the computer because that is sceen time. I wanted a morse telegraph. I couldn't buy one. I decided to use a battery pack and the button from the old flashlight.
Note: I have not finished building this telegraph. I will update this when I am finished building it.
Supplies
Materials:
- 1 battery pack with wires
- 1 flashlight
- 1 roll of tape
- batteries
Tools:
- scissors
Remove the Button
Remove the button from the flashlight.
Assemble
Tape the bottom of the button to the same side of the battery pack as the switch as shown in the picture. Then, tape the longer prong to the black wire.
Create the Transmitter and Reciever
Now, just search for how to create the compact transmitter and receiver. Just tape them to the place where each arrow shows. Tape the transmitter to the other prong of the button and place the other wire of the transmitter to the red wire. Add a 2032 size coin battery compartment to the place as shown in the picture. Connect the receiver's two wires to the + and - sides of the coin battery compartment. Add a switch (optional) between the coin battery compartment and the receiver to be able to turn off the receiver.
How to Use
You're done! You just need to turn on both switches and press the button according to morse code. A dash is created when you press and hold. A dot is created when you press and let go immediately. Have fun sending messages to your friends without needing the computer!
