Mr Sticks & His House π
Hello everyone,
Just after playing some "stickman" It's a mobile game .
Also one of my favorite π
I came to instructables as always in search of amazing projects as well as new contests, their I saw this ' TINY MINI MICRO' contest after visiting this page
I found out that any "CREATION" which is physically smaller in size in comparison of normal world will be eligible to enter in this contest.
So I thought about what will be the best thing to do in this area π€ after sometime I got an idea about similar stickman in that game their was a stickman and his house.
Quick idea π‘ came into my mind π
Thought to make the same mini version of the stick man and his little π€ tiny house.
Also, I have given him name
"Mr Sticks"π€£
In this Instructables the project we made is for display purpose in our house , it's eye-catchy and also you can make it easily without costing much, it's super cheap .
Hope you enjoy whole project π§‘
Supplies
Here its an art project, therefore doesn't require costly materials : -
β’ Here this structure is made with
matchsticks .
More or less 100 to 150 "matches"
are more than enough.
β’ Craft knife or seasors to cut and mold
'matchsticks'.
β’glue or wood glue or Fevicol normal
craft glue to stick matches together.
β’ A pliers or Twizers to pick and place
sticks to proper place
β’ Also to make it more fun and awesome
I am using leds and one 3v cell to light
up "Mr sticks" house .
Supplies I Am Using Here
Cutting the Heads of Matchsticks
cut down the flamable part of
matchsticks or coat the head part
with some Nailpaint top coat which
will also give a shiney look and protect
them from burning .
I recommend to use that heads into
bonfire π .
Building the Base
But I will scratch them off with knife or
coat them with Nailpaint topcoat.
afterwards.
β’ Join one stick to another forming
puzzle like structure which
I have shown in the photo
you just have to join them in the same
manner .
we are doing this so they
can form a base.
β’Make similar second bridge and
because of the puzzle structure they
can easily be stuck together and we
can form the square shape base .
( look at the images for clear idea) .
β’As they are made with sticks it's
necessary to give them support form
back side, so I have glued a Popsticle to
back in middle of the joining station of
both bridges ( right where they are stuck
together).
Here we have completed our base for
House.
Construction of House
arranged the sticks into cris cross
manner and doubled them for more
stable and strong walls
β’ Made 2 of them and joined together in
90Β° with one stick inside the 90Β°
pattern.
β’ To form perfect walls I had also applied
some wood glue on outer and inner
sides .
β’Also I have cutted down a dore in 4th
wall does depends upon you ,
how the door should be
here I have simply
cutted a small rectangular piece
Which looks like a door πͺπ .
Here you don't need to follow the same instructions as you can use your creativity to make it more clean and awesome. π
The Roof
sticks in such a manner that they form
a puzzle like structure like before we
have done for the walls.
Make 2 of them.
β’ By forming the puzzle structure they
Will join into 90Β° right π triangle π
β’Make them stable and strong with
sticking some cardboard to the back
side of the both constructions.
β’Apply wood glue to make them strong
β’Also as we are giving it a hut type look
If there's a small gap between sticks
It's perfectly fine, will give some space to light π‘ visiblity normally it will incredibly amazing π
Ladder and Base Poles
size sticks and glued them to the two
Full size matchsticks
( fire heads removed) π
β’To make the base poles I took 4
matchsticks and stick them together to
form a solid and bold poles π .
β’ Also you have to be very carefull while
sticking poles and ladders to the base .
Let them dry fully then only proceed to next step.
Mr Sticks
careful .
β’ You will have to build a base for Mr
sticks to sit on π π
β’ so I have cutted small pieces of stick
and joined together also on back I have
glued cardboard to make it strong .
β’ Firstly you will need 5 fire head
matchsticks (look like face and hands
and legs)
1.Join a single matchstick to the base
2.make a small cut and bend one matchstick very carefully that it does not break.
3.glue the cutted portion to make it like a
leg joint , do similar for second , third
and 4th
4. Join the two bent sticks beside the matchstick connected to base (be careful let them dry )
5. Now join other two sticks to top
shoulder part of the base matchstick
So that it looks like hands.
Yeaahh completed ππ―
The Color
BASE with,
π€Brown and Chocolate colour.
HOUSE with,
π€Brown and dark π’ green color.
LADDER with rusty π΄red and mixture of brown π€ color.
To make it feel and look like wood ;
After applying paint ,
I rubbed base , roof and poles with paper ball or something rough to give it an old look.
Just rub it softly that it creats an old woody look by removing little part of paint u applied.
The Lights π‘
You can also do the same,
just search "FAIRY LIGHTS" on Amazon you will find a bunch of stuff in cheap rates.
Another option is to use your led lightings
Which we use on Christmas and various festivals , As they give very bright β¨ eye-catchy look .
Tadda You Make It πβΊππ
I have ,
Used a small base of furry cloth and also added some pebbles to each side of house,
also added a small plant on right side ,
I think now it's looking awesome,
