Mushroom-shaped Holder With an Attachable Extra Storage Holder; Mushmate!
If you're looking for a creative way to store your stationary, water, food, or even carry-ons, look no further! Meet Mushmate, an innovative mushroom-shaped holder that transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary. With an added attachable holder for extra storage, it's perfect for keeping hydrated and storing snacks while camping or organizing your essentials at home—whether it's keys, pencils, or travel toiletries.
- I 3D modeled and designed Mushmate using Blender software.
- I began the design by creating the base, aiming to replicate the shape of both a water bottle and a mushroom stem.
- For the cap, I designed and modeled it to mimic a mushroom cap, incorporating a corkscrew-type mechanism to secure the bottle and cap together.
- Finally, I designed an attachable ring holder and an additional leaf-shaped holder, making the ring holder resemble a betel leaf.
Supplies
3D MODELS: STEM, MUSHROOM CAP, LEAF ADDON, LEAD ADDON CAP
3D PRINT THE MODELS
- If you intend to use the bottle for storing food, ensure that you use food-safe filament materials.
- When 3D printing items meant for food, confirm that the filament is indeed food safe and consider post-processing techniques to enhance safety.
- Additionally, make sure to scale the objects appropriately to match your 3D printer's specifications and replicate waterbottle/holder scale.
ATTACH ALL THE PARTS
- Attach the mushroom cap to the mushroom bottle.
- If you want to use the extra storage leaf attachment, first remove the mushroom cap.
- Then, insert the leaf addon through the stem and push it in to secure it.
- Finally, attach the mushroom cap to close the mushroom bottle.
- Your Mushmate is now ready
Enjoy Your Own Mushmate!
I didn’t have a chance to 3D print it myself because I don’t own a 3D printer, and there are no 3D printing shops in my area. However, I would love to see Mushmate if you end up 3D printing it. I hope you enjoyed the tutorial!
