My 3D Rocket Inspired Initial
I wanted to decorate my study table so I came up with an idea to make my initial letter "J" with rocket images.So lets get inspiration from our initials.
Supplies
- Cardboard
- Paper(also printer to print)
- Glue Gun And Stick
- Word Software
- 2 Magnets
- FeviStick
- Patience
Making the Letter
First,open word and add a WordArt (style 1) and enter your initial in CAPITAL.
Advancing Further in the Letter
Take a screenshot of first screen and crop the excess part.
Take the image and insert it in a new word document.
Removing Background
Go to picture format of the picture and remove background.
Only remove inner part of the letter.
Adding Rocket Background
Take one rocket background image from internet and insert them in word.Scale them so that they cover the whole page.
Then go to picture format of the letter image >>Wrap Text>>In Front Of Text.
Lastly drag the letter over the rocket image.
Completing the Letters
Repeat the same process with other letter but do not forget to flip image vertically.
Making Strips
Instead of adding word art, add four rectangles and do the same process of the letters with the strips.You can also take the edge measurement for making the lenght of strips presicely.
Take Out the Print
Cut the Letters
Stick the Letters on Cardboard With FeviStick
Cut Them Out
Cut Some Cardboard Strips
Stick the Strips at Edge of the Letter
Use Glue Gun.
Stick Magnet at Bottom
Use Glue Gun
Add Weight on One Side
Only do this step if the letter is asymmetrical.
Stick the 2nd Letter
Use Glue Gun.
Stick the Strips
Making Stand
This is an optinal step.
Cut a cardboard strip.
Fold 3 cm from ends and make some bridge like structure.
Trace this peice on a cardboard.
Cut 2x.
Fix them with a glue gun.
Also Stick a magnet at bottom using glue gun.
Lastly, paint the stand black.
