By: The One And Only 9-Year-Old Brooke Evans! 7/19/2021

Supplies

You can use anything you have around the house. These are the materials I used.

  • A Stick or a Rod: I Used Part Of An Old Computer Desk
  • Tape
  • Regular printer paper
  • Thumb Tack
  • (Optional) Tissue Paper

Tools you will need:

  • Scissors
  • Drill and drill bit (optional)

The Stick

Take your stick or rod and make sure it is about 2-3 feet or higher. Drill a tiny hole on the side of your stick or rod. Make sure the hole is about 1 inch away from the top of your stick or rod. Also my daddy drilled the hole for me.

The thumb tack should be able to wiggle around in the hole, that will make sense later.

Cut the Paper

Use your scissors to cut a circle shape in a piece of paper. Then, you can decorate it however you want.

Make the Top

Stick the thumb tack in the middle of your circle. (Optional: Cut up about 4-inch pieces of tissue paper, and tape them on the edge of your circle).

Once you have put your thumb tack in the middle of your circle, split a piece of tape in half. Wrap a half of the piece of tape around the top of the thumb tack, making enough room that the circle can spin. Make sure the circle is still on the thumb tack when you are doing this process. NEVER take the circle off of the thumb tack after this process.

Put It Together

Finally, put the thumb tack with the circle on it, through the hole you have made on the stick or rod.

Celebrate!
