My 1st Star Wars Death Star Mancave
This was my 1st attempt at making a Star wars themed /Death Star man cave. Years earlier I had Built My man cave to be a tribute to the 80's complete with custom built rubiks cube coffee tables and 80s movie posters. I decided that I wanted something that could stand out a bit more so being that i am a Huge Star wars nerd I decided to build the Death star! I was approximately 90% complete when the flood of Harvey came thru and put 4 and a half feet of water in it making me start completely over on the Star wars Man cave 2.0 that i cover in a separate Intructable. Happy building and I hope this can help you with your projects!!
Supplies
Smooth masonite board or sheetrock
Titanium grey or Battleship grey paint. (color will really sepend on how dark your room is)
2x4s and framing materials. 1x2s, 1x3s, 1x4s of varying lengths. I went with the pre primed ones.
3/4 plywood for decking
Plexiglass/glass (depending on what you want to spend. I went with Glass for the big panels for a cleaner look)
LED light strips. I used the 6803 magic dream chipset because I wanted the chasing lights)
