Naruto's Flying Paper Shuriken (Ninja Star)
This is an easy and simple origami to make the Shuriken (also known as ninja star) from the popular anime show Naruto.
I remember making countless of this back in grade school, when there was no smartphones and internet to distract me in the middle of my classes.
Cut in Half
Cut a square piece of paper in half. I just took a square piece form an 8.5x11" piece of paper and made in 8.5x8.5."
Fold in Half
Fold it in half lengthwise on the line specified on the picture.
Fold in Half Again
Fold the paper in half again, this time in the opposite axis, like shown in the picture. Do this twice for both halves of the paper.
Fold the Edge
Fold the edges inwards to make an S-like shape, as shown above.
Fold the Triangles
Fold both of the square pieces on the edges of the "S" shape inwards as depicted above.
Criss-Cross
Criss Cross the two pieces of Shuriken halves so that it looks like a Shuriken.
Tuck the triangular pieces into the pockets just like when you're making a cardboard box tightly shut.
Decorate and Enjoy!
Decorate it as you wish and throw it like frisbee.
Enjoy!
