Nintendo Switch Cartridge Holder

I had a friend who needed a Nintendo switch cartridge holder and it was also a school project, so I tried my best to make a good one. I did a rough model in Tinkercad but I personally prefer fusion anyway and felt like the Tinkercad model was a bit rough.

Step 1: Designing the Cartridge Holder

I decided that I would make the cartridge holder have smooth sides so that it rests easily in the pocket and hand. I also thought it would be a cool idea to add the Nintendo Switch logo onto the case just to make it stand out as a cartridge holder. However, when I was going to 3D print it, I realised that the infill inside the case would be extremely hard to remove.

Step 2: Altering the Model to Be Suitable for 3D Printing

In order to make it suitable for 3D printing, I split the model in half and when I created a hollow I made it larger than the extrusion of the top piece. This was in order to allow for a small amount of glue to be applied as I was unable to think of a way in which they did not fall apart after a while and thought that glue would be the only suitable solution.

Step 3: Printing the Model

All you need is a 3D printer and you can just print all 3 of these pieces. They can then be assembled extremely easily with a little bit of glue inside the slight intrusion to hold the 2 pieces together. After that you can have fun and carry your Nintendo Switch Cartridges anywhere!
