No Closet? No Problem!
My family and I were missionaries lived in Bolivia for 5 months. We lived in a house with NO doors and NO glass in the windows, NOt even screens(the second picture is our homemade "closet"), with 2 other families 18 people.
Now we are living in the US in a tiny cabin (great size for a couple) 1 bedroom(no door again ;) 1 bathroom (with a door) and a loft, with 7 in the family right now.
Living in "not" the ideal dream home has taught us a few ''no closet " tricks. I'm happy to share. Hope to Help
Drawer Storage Cart
Go to your local shopping center and look for a drawer storage cart. These are usually fairly inexpensive and can be used to organize anything!
Organizing
organizing is simple for example in drawers put 1 short sleeve shirts
2 long sleeve
3 underwear
4 socks.
My father has them in this order 1 T-shirts
2 Underpants
3 socks
For fast use make labels for each drawer especially for smaller children, they really enjoy participating in the making of them. Add a picture of what belongs in the drawer it is lots of fun and encourages them to keep the thing in order themselves.
Wire Shelving
Wire shelving is great!
You can arrange the shelves at the height you want them. For more organization put your items in plastic shoe bins on the shelf, you will be surprised how much you can fit in them!
Twin sheets in one bin, queen/ pillowcases in the other. Winter hats in one and mittens and gloves in the other.
Baby Clothes
For baby clothes place a shower curtain rod in the top for gang up clothes. Use small shoe boxes to put small things like socks, hats, mittens, hair bows or ties... etc
Anything
Anything can be used, a cardboard box, table, suitcase, plastic bins, buckets..........
If you have any questions or comments I will be very happy to help you.
