Notation.... All of Them
In this instructable I'm going to be showing all of the notations. There are about 12 of them and there inverts and I am going to be showing an algorithm for each one that has that notation in it, whether it's OLL, PLL, F2L, or even magic wondeful cases. The one shown above is u or u'. All double layers are represented with lowercase letters. I'm going to be showing each one like this r, R. It's going to be showed with it's single layer. I won't be showing their inverts just imagine that their there because they're still some very important notations.
- r, R
- l, L
- f, F
- b,B
- u, U
- d, D
Here are all the rotations.
- y
- z
- x
Standard Moves
R, L, B, and, U are all standard moves. All the inverts of the moves are going the opposite way of the standard move.
R is going up on the right side.
U is going right on the up side, see a pattern?
L is going down on the left side.
D is going right on the down side.
F is going to the right of the cube. It relates to the rotation (z).
B is going to the left in the back of the cube.
Slices and Double Layers
Slices
There are only three slices, S, E, and M.
M is going down in the middle layer between R and L.
S is going the same way as F'. It is in the middle layer between F and B.
E is going the same way as U' and it is in between the U and D layer.
Double Layers
Each double layer move is the same as it single layer colleague. They're represented with a lowercase letter. For example, right with 2 layers would be expressed as r or r'.
Rotations.
The only rotation there are are x, y, z.
For y, you turn the entire cube in a U notation.
For z you turn the entire cube in an F notation.
For x you turn the entire cube as an R notation.
