Octopus Pocket
Have you ever wanted to have a fun and fluffy stuffed animal that has a secret pocket? Well, now you can make one yourself! In simple terms, you make it by making a stuffed animal, and adding a pocket in the back. Sounds like a piece of cake, right? Let's do it!
Step One: Gathering Materials
The very first thing you want to do for this project is decide what animal you are going to make. I decided I was going to make an Octopus, since they are one of my favorite animals, and they are super cute. Then gather your materials up. There should be felt (or any kind of fabric you'd like), some thread, a needle and a marker to trace out your shapes.
Step Two: Trace Out Your Shapes for Your Animal
Now, what you are going to do is trace out the shape/shapes of your animal. What I did was trace out 2 circles for the head of the Octopus, and tentacles.
Step Three: Cut Out All of Your Shapes
Now, you are going to cut out all of your shapes using the scissors. You could have used any type of felt or fabric, whatever you want! This step shouldn't take too long.
Step Four: Assemble Your Animal
Next, you are going to assemble all of the parts. You will do this using your needle and thread. You could also use hot glue for this step if you aren't good a sewing.
Step Five: Put Pouch On
Last but not least, you are going to put your pouch/ pocket on the back of your animal. I used a zipper, but feel free to use Velcro, or even just put a simple pouch on it.
