I am going to show you how to change oil on a 1983 Honda 185.

Step 1 Check Oil

Make sure the bike is level and check the dipstick to see how much oil is in the bike. You do not need to screw the dipstick back on each time to get an accurate test. Once you do this you can put the kickstand down and re screw the cap on.

Draining Oil

Put the kickstand down. Putting the kickstand down helps hold the bike up and it also leans the bike which makes it easier to drain the oil.

Putting Oil Plug Back In

Unscrew the bolt behind the shifter on the kickstand side of the bike (There is a spring behind the bolt with a little metal filter).

Refill Oil

To put the cap back on put the spring behind it again and put the screen on so the opening is facing away from the cap. Screw cap back down only go hand tight if you tighten too much you can crack the cap.
