This is for pixl edge

The most committed RPG players love to have game boards for characters to stroll around.

In this tutorial I will show you how to create an old Medieval house for role playing games.

This takes a lot of time but result looks amazing.

Supplies

Cardboard

Lollypop sticks

Pritt stick

Hot glue gun (and glue)

Making the Walls

To start you'll need a cereal box or any cardboard you can find. (Ideally thinner)

Cut up 4 evenly sized pieces, mine are 5 x 11cm.

These will form the walls.

Using a Stanley knife, I then cut 4 lollypop sticks (per wall) into support beams. (5 cm by 1/2)

Finaly I cut small cardboard squares. This will look like bricks.

For a more realistic feel curved corners are better.

One of these walls should have a door. This is simple as you just need to cut out a door shape and put it aside it for later.

Making a Building

(Hot glue can be dangerous!)

Once all 4 walls are complete, start warming up the hot glue-gun. you will need to make a line on the edge of one of your walls. Then glue another wall at 90 degrees to the other and hold it in place until set.

I used another lollypop stick in the corners for additional strength.

Once you have a square lets move on!

Painting the Base

For the paint I used grey acrylic

I gave it a big wash of paint making sure to get in between the bricks.

I then went back with brown acrylic and painted the lollypop-sticks (beams)😁

Also paint your door from earlier and stick it on the inside of the door hole.

The Roof

For the roof I cut out two triangles with a base of 11cm..

Here you can change your style of roof.

For a bit of added detail the roof caves inwards a bit.

I added a brown cross of carboard into the two triangles.

Tiles

Now is a long step.

If you are not willing to spend ages on this step then skip to the next part..

Once again you have to cut out little circles from cardboard. but this time you have to do a few hundred tiles.

These will be the shingles.

Then glue it all on overlapping the ones below.

You could try adding details such as a chimney!

Painting and Gluing

Once all my tiles were glued on, I painted the roof a reddish brown colour.

I then painted tiles different shades for detail.

I painted the triangles white(apart from the brown plank).

and as a last step I glued the two halves together and it was completed.

I am very happy with the result.

This would go great in RPGs.
