Onion Rings Recipe

SAM_2603.JPG

Hey Guys!!

After my long break, I have decided to make a cooking tutorial instead of a rainbow loom tutorial.

After watching and making tons of onion rings, I have decided that my modified recipe works really well!

As a school kid, I enjoy eating after school and this treat takes a small amount of time and tastes delicious!

Keep on scrolling to know how to make it!

1. Cut the Onion into 1cm thick pieces and separate them into rings.

2. In a bowl, measure out the flour ONLY.

3. Coat the onions into the flour to help them adhere better to the batter later.

I used a fondue stick to help me do this.

{Step 2 and 3 are optional}

1. With the leftover flour from Step 1, mix in the egg, garlic powder, seasonings, cornstarch and 6 TBSP of Milk.

2. Mix thoroughly.

3. My batter turned thick so add more milk to thin it out to make it easier to dip the onions.

Preparing to Fry

1. In a separate bowl, add in the breadcrumbs.

2. Using a tong or skewer, dip an onion ring into the batter.

3. Let the excess batter drip before coating in the breadcrumbs.

4. Repeat this step to coat all the onions.

1. In a pan, pour some oil and wait to see if it is hot enough to cook the onions. [Pour a small amount of the batter and when it starts bubbling, its ready]

2. Add in the onion rings one by one being really careful not to drop it so the oil won't splash.

3. Fry on one side until golden brown then flip to fry the other side.

4. Repeat this for all of the Onion Rings.

5. Stop frying and replace the oil when the excess breadcrumbs in the pan are black and burnt.

Done!!!
