For the cupcakes you will need a white cake mix, 3 eggs, heavy cream, vegetable oil, orange extract, and 1/2 packet orange kool-aid. For the frosting, a 2 pound bag of powdered sugar (confectioners sugar) margerine, orange flavoring, the other half of the packet of orange kool-aid, and orange slice candies for decoration. Also you will need cupcake liner papers and a regular size cupcake pan.

Combine together 1/2 bag of powdered sugar 1/2 cup margerine and 1/4 cup water. Add 1/2 packet orange kool-aid and 1 tsp orange extract. Mix well and continue to add powdered sugar, a small amount at a time until it is spreadable. You may need to add a little bit more water until it is the right consistancy.  Place the frosting in a gallon size Ziploc freezer bag.

Cut one of the bottom corners off the freezer bag. Frost the cupcakes and top with an Orange slice candy. If you are making these cupcakes to give away, purchase a package of Wilton brand cupcake boxes. Tie a ribbon around each box and you have a lovely gift!
