One day I realized I have more Lego's than the normal human usually has. Also I realized how unorganized and unsanitary they were. With that said, I decided it was time I should clean and organize them, So I did.
In this instructable I will teach you how to clean, organize, and care for these wonderful bricks.

Cleaning

First of all, in these Lego's condition's they would not be very good for building right now, so here is what you have to do. First off run some soapy water in the bath or sink. once the bath is ready put all the Lego's in small open topped containers. put them in the bath and stir every once and a while. When you are ready to take them out, shake them in the container  to get any extra junk that might be on them.  Dry with a hair dryer or by towel if you prefer.

Before you start to organize them you need to tag your buckets to make sure you know which is which. my handwriting is atrocious, but only because I was in a big hurry. I tagged by color and also small pieces like "Studs" were tagged. The other colors bucket were for anything out of the ordinary.

Organizing the Bricks

Start by dumping all the Lego's out on the table ( or bed in my case ) and then choose a color you think you have the most of. next find as many of that color in bricks as you can. once you have gotten all of those move to the second most color. I got done with my first 3 colors in about  an hour and a half.

Getting Board

There are a few things you can do once the cycle gets old.
1. Quit
But think about it, you put all this hard work in and now its for nothing!?!
2. Ask for a friend to help you
This is the very wise choice, you can talk and work, and it can actually help alot.
3. ROCK OUT!
play music as loud as possible and sing the tune as you work. though not the smartest thing to do because eventually your tempted to do things like dance, air guitar and even destroy all you work.
 I know from personal experience.

First off, you should always try to keep them clean, you spent a day doing this. so second don't eat around them or something messy like that. Third wash them if they do get dirty. And finally keep them organized. If you do this and get them unorganized the next day what's the point?

In the end you are happy with yourself! You just cleaned and organized all your Lego's!
Now you can build something new and not have to dig around in a sea of bricks.  I myself made my first sculpture. Its an apple that looks pretty cool in my opinion. Thank you for looking and i hope you can tell me if I did anything wrong.
