Origami Crane Crab Rangoon
One of my favorite foods is Crab Rangoon. So I wanted to figure out how to make it and add a little fun into it. I hope you enjoy making it as much as I do.
Supplies
Food Supplies:
- 1/2 a pack of Imitation crab
- 1 block of cream cheese
- Green onion stems
- 1 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon of Garlic powder
- Eggroll wrappers
Supplies:
- Large bowl
- Knife to cut onions
- Spatula
- Measuring cups
Soften Cream Cheese
Set cream cheese out for 30 minutes in order to fully soften.
Preheat
There are 2 cooking options:
- Conventional oven: Preheat oven to 425°F.
or
- Air fryer: Preheat air fryer to 400°F.
Cut Green Onions
Use knife to cut green onions so they are small ring shapes.
Combine Ingredients
Combine cream cheese, onions, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, and tear crab. If you want larger pieces of crab meat in your crab Rangoon then leave some larger chunks of crab meat in the mix.
Mix Thoroughly
Mix everything thoroughly.
Shape the Wraps
Place a heaping tablespoon of mix onto a egg roll wrapper.
Original:
- Fold four corners into center
- Fold out the corner tips
Origami Crane:
- Fold in two corner edges
- Fold them so the edges meet in the center
- Fold one of the other corners so the edges meet in the center
- Fold the remaining corner in half
- Fold that tip down
These are just two of the many shapes we made. You can try to make some of your own too. Have fun with it!
Cooking
Convention oven: Put in for 12-15 minutes.
Air fryer: Put in for four minutes, flip, then put them in for 2-3 more minutes.
