Origami: Fortune Teller

Hey there! In this instructable I will teach you how to make an origami fortune teller.

Get a piece of paper that is an exact square, size doesn’t matter as long as each side is the same length

Fold the right upper corner towards the lower left corner, put pressure on the crease. Unfold and then fold to the left upper corner towards the lower right corner, put pressure on the crease. Unfold, make sure the creases are noticeable.

Once everything is unfolded, fold any corner of the paper towards the center of the paper. Fold tightly.

Do the same thing to the rest of the corners.

Once corners are folded towards the center, flip over the paper. There should be noticeable creases in the shape of a cross.

Fold any corner towards the center of the paper. Put pressure.

Do the same thing to all corners.

Flip the paper to the other side.

Fold in half, “hamburger style”.

Once folded, use both hands to grab each end of the fortune teller while it is still folded. Put your index fingers in between the paper.

Near the ends of the paper. Push your hands inwards, pushing it into a star shape, and push out the folds.

Now you have the basic shape of the origami.

On each fold, you can have a color or you can get more creative and include an animal or even a zodiac sign, it’s up to you.

Open up your for fortune teller, and write down numbers on the top of the flaps.

Under the flaps write down fortunes of your choice, get creative.
